What this covers
Most of the uPVC doors and windows we are asked about in Nuneaton were fitted by somebody else, often years ago, by a firm that has since moved on. That is fine. We work on them whoever fitted them.

Estate by estate, the faults differ
On St Nicolas Park, Horeston Grange and Whitestone, much of the housing went up in the sixties and seventies and has since had its doors and windows replaced, often more than once. The parts inside those doors were made to the patterns of the day, so a gearbox or a hinge is matched on its measurements rather than its brand name.
On the older, tighter streets around Attleborough and Stockingford, the front door is often the only way in. A door that will not lock is not something to leave until the weekend, so tell us that when you book and we will say plainly how soon we can come.
Repair before replace
A door that has started to catch is usually a door that has dropped a few millimetres. Most can be lifted and squared again by adjusting the hinges and keeps, with no new parts. We would rather tell you that than sell you a door.
Parking and access
On the terraced streets we ask where the van can sit before the day. If the door is the only way in or out, we plan the work so the house is never left unsecured.

A photo shows the style of door. It does not show whether the gearbox, the hinges or the frame is the problem, and that decides the price. We look first, explain what we found, and the quote follows in writing. The visit and the written quote are free, and there is no obligation.
Also worth knowing
Our workmanship is guaranteed for twenty-four months. That covers the fitting and the hanging. Exterior paintwork, stains and sealant are guaranteed for twelve months. The product itself, whoever supplies it, is covered by the manufacturer’s own guarantee. If a product does fail, we handle the manufacturer claim for you at no charge.
We work Monday to Thursday. Friday is our office day, kept for quotes, ordering parts and answering people.
