The list on the kitchen worktop. One visit that clears it, rather than seven separate call outs across a year.
What this covers
The small jobs that accumulate, indoors and out, along with exterior sealing around doors, windows and timber sills before winter gets into them.
Individually none of these is worth a visit. Together they are a straightforward half day or day, and everything gets done in one go.
Common jobs
- Exterior sealing and re-pointing of mastic around doors, windows and sills
- Timber sills and thresholds made good before they are past saving
- Dripping outside taps, loose handles, sticking catches and rattling window stays
- Toilet seats, bathroom fittings, extractor grilles and silicone renewed
- Loose or lifted floorboards, squeaking stairs, doorstops and thresholds
- Outside lights and house numbers refitted properly
- A walk round with you, writing down what is worth watching next year
How we approach it
Send the whole list, not the worst item. We work through it in order of what matters, and we tell you before we start if the list is longer than the time booked.
We would rather do six things properly and book a second visit than rush eleven.
Everything is left clean, and we take our own mess with us. Where a job produces real waste, that is priced separately on the quote.
What we will tell you honestly
Some items on a list are not repairs, they are replacements waiting to happen. We will say which, and what it costs to leave them another year.
Anything that needs a gas, electrical or structural qualification is not ours to touch. We will tell you what you actually need and, where we can, help you arrange it.
And if an item on the list genuinely does not need doing, we will say so and take it off.
