Property maintenance in Coventry
We come down the A444 most weeks. The southern suburbs are where most of our Coventry work is, and they are close to a straight run from us.
The suburbs we are in most
Earlsdon, Styvechale, Finham, Cheylesmore, Allesley, Mount Nod, Keresley and Ash Green. Between them that is most of the western and southern side of the city, and it is where the housing suits the kind of work we do.
Earlsdon and Styvechale in particular are largely interwar and thirties housing with original timber, deep eaves and mature trees. That combination produces two of our commonest jobs: gutters that fill faster than the owner expects, and casement windows and doors that people assume need replacing when they need easing and adjusting.
Parking, which is the real constraint
On the terraced streets off the Earlsdon and Cheylesmore main roads, where the van can sit decides how the day goes. We ask about it before the visit rather than turning up and blocking a road. It sounds minor. It is the difference between starting at eight and starting at half nine.
Student and rented property
A good deal of the housing on this side of the city is let. We arrange access with the tenant ourselves, confirm the date with whoever needs to know, and send one invoice to whoever instructed us. Tenants are never given a price.
We are not a city firm
We are a small outfit based up the road, not a national with a call centre. That means you get the same person twice, and it also means we will tell you honestly when a job is too far or too big for us to be the right people for it.
Beyond the city
We work in Kenilworth, Balsall Common, Shilton, Bulkington and the villages around them, along with Warwickshire and the counties either side. If you are not sure whether we come to you, just ask.
