What this covers
Many installers will only come back to doors and windows they fitted themselves, and some are no longer trading. We work on uPVC and composite doors and windows whoever fitted them and however old they are.
If a door or window is still under its installer’s guarantee, tell us first, so nothing we do affects it.

Interwar houses with replacement windows
In Earlsdon, Styvechale and Cheylesmore, many of the interwar semis now have uPVC bay windows fitted into the original openings. Bay windows carry a lot of opening sashes, and the friction hinges and handles on them wear unevenly. A sash that has dropped onto its frame can usually be put right with new hinges rather than a new window.
On the postwar estates further out, the front doors are often the second set the house has had. The multi-point lock is the usual weak point: the handle stops lifting, or the key turns but nothing moves.
Let and student houses
A good deal of the housing on this side of the city is let. We arrange access with the tenant ourselves, confirm the date with whoever needs to know, and send one invoice to whoever instructed us. Tenants are never given a price.
Parking, which is the real constraint
On the terraced streets off the Earlsdon and Cheylesmore main roads, where the van can sit decides how the day goes. We ask about it before the visit rather than turning up and blocking a road.

A photo shows the style of door. It does not show whether the gearbox, the hinges or the frame is the problem, and that decides the price. We look first, explain what we found, and the quote follows in writing. The visit and the written quote are free, and there is no obligation.

Our workmanship is guaranteed for twenty-four months. That covers the fitting and the hanging. Exterior paintwork, stains and sealant are guaranteed for twelve months. The product itself, whoever supplies it, is covered by the manufacturer’s own guarantee. If a product does fail, we handle the manufacturer claim for you at no charge.
We work Monday to Thursday. Friday is our office day, kept for quotes, ordering parts and answering people.
