What we do here
Crossing the county line
Hinckley is in Leicestershire and we are based in Warwickshire, which makes no difference to the work and occasionally makes a difference to who will travel. We do. It is a short run and we are here often enough that a single small job is still worth booking.
The town runs from Georgian and Victorian property in the centre out through interwar and postwar estates to recent building on the edges, so there is no one answer to what a house here needs. We look before we price.
Older property in the centre
Narrow frontages, no side access, and original timber and cast iron still doing their job. Both are usually worth repairing. Where a sash or a casement has swollen rather than moved, we leave the timber alone and deal with the actual cause.
Landlords and agents
We already do managed work for property in and around the town. Access is arranged with the tenant directly, the date is confirmed with everyone who needs it, and you get one invoice and one point of contact. Tenants are never given a price.
Small jobs
One door, one gate, one gutter joint. Happy to start small, and no minimum job value to argue about.
