Honest gates
Timber garden gates, made to measure and fitted at a fixed price
A side gate is built to fit your opening, hung so it swings cleanly and latches every time. The price is published here, so you know it before we visit.
The prices
- Standard gate, leaf up to 900mm wide: £495
- Wide gate, leaf 900mm to 1000mm wide: £620
- Rounded top to follow an arch: £85 extra
These are fitted prices, timber and fixings included, for homes across Warwickshire and into Coventry. The visit to measure is free.
What every gate includes
- A new treated timber post on the latch side, bolted to a concrete spur, so no timber sits in the ground
- The hinge side fixed into the wall with throughbolts
- A framed gate with a brace running down to the hinge side, so it does not drop
- Heavy cranked hinges, a ring latch and a bolt
- Every cut end treated before we leave
- One coat of clear preserver on the finished gate
How it works
1. We measure. We visit, measure the opening at the top, middle and bottom, and check the wall and the ground where the post goes.
2. We order your timber. The boards are machined and treated to order by our timber merchant, which takes 14 to 21 days.
3. Then we give you a date. Once the merchant confirms the timber is ready, we offer you a day. The gate is built and hung on site in one day.
Our guarantee
Our workmanship is guaranteed for twenty-four months. Exterior paintwork, stains and sealant are guaranteed for twelve months. See our guarantee.
Good to know
Your old gate is left with you unless you ask us to take it away, which we price separately.
If your gate has dropped or catches, it may not need replacing. Why has my garden gate dropped?
